Cocker Spaniels belong to two breeds of the spaniel dog type: the American Cocker Spaniel and the English Cocker Spaniel. Both dogs are commonly simply called Cocker Spaniel in their countries of origin. These merry and frolicsome dogs, with their big and dreamy eyes as well as an impish personality, is one of the world’s best-loved breeds. They were initially developed as a hunting dog, but Cockers have gained wide popularity as all-around companions.
